We are moving to AZ, and I must admit I'm just a little scared of the scorpions. We have a young infant (3 months) and I'm a little nervous about them being around him. If he should get stung, what is the best thing to do? I have searched the internet, and can't seem to find much of anything. Any help? I know to put his crib legs in jars of water, but I'm worried about him crawling around and accidentally finding one.

Usually bigger scorpions you don't need to worry about - they're about as bad as a bee sting. With scorpions, the smaller the deadlier the sting. Either way, do what you can to protect the crib - you might even consider mosquito netting or something similar they can't penetrate. Putting the legs in water might keep them from climbing the legs, but usually there's something near a crib as well, so unless you plan on putting your dresser changing table, etc. in jars of water...
One thing you can do is to call the local Poison Control Center or local hospital / Fire Department where you're moving and ask them what they recommend. They're the 3 agencies that deal with that kind of problem on a regular basis, so they're going to have the information you need to give you peace of mind.

I agree with Raven. Call the Poison Control Center 1-800-222-1222. People say the sting of a baby scorpion is more dangerous than the sting of an adult, but this is false. The venom in a scorpion's stinger is the same all through a scorpion's life. http://askabiologist.asu.edu/research/scorpions/
